Praqmatic craftsmen

Praqma is a consultancy house located in Denmark, just north of Copenhagen.

We're nine software developers regarding ourselves as pragmatic craftsmen. We share the same fascination of material and tools which is often present with traditional skilled craftsmen.

Software development is about finding the right solution to a concrete problem. We believe that perfection is the worst enemy of good.

In Praqma we strive to change the world - a little bit. At least the part of the world  that is dealing with software development.

We have worked with, developed, maintained and invented enterprise solutions for some of the largest and most prestigious companies in our region. We want to share the lessons we've learned and the experiences that we've gained with everybody developing software. We belive in Open source, Open standards and Open access to information.

Open Source for The Enterprises

During our companionship with large enterprise organizations we have learned, that sometimes efficiency feeds better from anarchy and freedom that it does from structure and order.

Some of the best tools we've come a cross aren't proprietary enterprise tools. They're just plain popular Open source with strong communities and many users.

Healthy Open Source tools tend to evolve faster, have better quality and meet the user's finer grained demands better. We want to show that point to the enterprises.
